NaNoWriMo, Day 13
Today is Day 13 of NaNoWriMo! My total for day 12 of NaNoWriMo was only 212 words. Sorry guys. Was working on other thing not related to writing and working on getting physical copies of Destiny moving. This means I don't have much to share. Promise I'll make up for it.
All passages were in order from yesterday's post, so here's what I wrote:
I squealed when a player in plate armor grabbed me by the waist and spun us around. In all the blurred whirling around I could see glimpses of my team running over to me.
“You did it, Rinneth!” Vesser said, giving away who had grabbed me. He put me down and beamed with excitement. “You’re amazing!”
Embarrassment rushed over me I held my arm as I looked away. “I’m…not that great.” I yelped when Erin crashed into me and also spun me around. “Guys, stop! You’re going to make me sick.”
Erin laughed and put me down. Thuldren jumped around with joy while my team and friends surrounded me, giving me so much praise I didn’t know what to do with it all.
“You deserve this,” Rashta said.
“I guess it’s something I’m going to have to get used to.”
As the praise continued, I did notice certain people’s praise effected more. Erin’s praise uplifted me where Rial’s and Ramos’ felt a bit more neutral on the scale. And Vesser’s…his kept bringing the embarrassment back.
“Fate is working here,”
“No it’s not, shut up.”
“You can’t run from it, Rinneth. You’ve tried before, and it always resulted in you having to face it.”
"Shut up, it ain't happening."
