I recently announced Valkyrie Lost and Valkyrie Renewed as a big surprise project that had been in the works for a while. However, as hinted in my Facebook group more recently, it wasn't the only surprise I have been cooking up.
Do you like special edition and limited edition books on your shelf? I know I do. And thanks to the platform Kickstarter, I'm going to be able to offer just that!
What is Kickstarter? It's a crowdfunding platform that I can utilize to make special preorder campaigns for books editions I wouldn't otherwise be able to do for financial and storage related reasons. Not only that, but I can offer a few other things, like art prints and special swag merch like pins that I otherwise wouldn't be able to consider.
So what is the plan and what can you expect? Each campaign, which will run for 30 days, will feature one or more books where you'll be able to get your hands on. I'll offer anything from swag and books that I'll eventually offer on my main store (get it long before anyone else can), to special editions that can only be obtained through the KS platform, to even limited edition versions only available in that one KS.
And if the graphic above wasn't a giveaway, my first campaign will be for Valkyrie Lost. Because it is my next release, this was the perfect opportunity to begin using the platform and offer some nice extra perks, such as:
The e-Book, 1 month before retail release
The retail paperback and hardbacks at least 3 months before retail release
A special edition paperback and hardback with special cover and art inserts only obtainable through Kickstarter
A limited edition hardback with special foil cover, painted edges, and art inserts only obtainable through this campaign
Special character art prints & posters
And depending on how well this campaign goes, I can add even more goodies to the campaign/book(s) and go bigger with future campaigns.
This campaign will run through the month of October. Plenty of time to get ready for this limited time chance. Click the link below to follow the project on Kickstarter, so you don't miss when it goes live!
